Our 2024 show sees the return of our fan-favourite interative workshops! These fun and interactive sessions will be a great activity to take part in while you're at the show. Registration is required and bookings are open, plus your registration to any of these sessions includes your admission to the whole show! Learn about all of the sessions below.

Solve a Mystery Using Archival Documents Presentation | Friday @ 6:00PM
Solve a mystery using archival document. This presentation includes audience participation and will showcase the many documents that can be used to find information through the practice of solving a mystery in history through newspaper clippings, forms, etc.
Cost - FREE with purchase of a Spring Living Show pass. Registration is required.
Bi-Lateral Painting Workshop | Saturday @ 10:30AM
Have you heard of bilateral art? Bilateral art is using both sides of your brain, aka, using both hands. Some benefits to bilateral art are: settling and grounding yourself connecting to your body bringing yourself to the present releasing pent up energy and emotions and allowing yourself a chance to relax. You don't need to use your fingers. You can use paint brushes, any other writing utensils, just as long as something is in each hand.
Cost - $30.00+ tax. Ticket includes weekend pass into the Spring Living Show. Registration is required.
Visual Art Journaling Workshop | Saturday @ 11:30AM
Journaling is a popular activity and there are many creative ways to use mixed media as a way of enhancing and deepening your thoughts and stories.Visual art journaling is a personal journal filled with a combination of pictures, collage, writing and doodles. It’s a bit like Art Therapy, and the journal becomes a private space to record your thoughts, feelings and emotions.During this workshop, journal creators will complete activities that combine journal entries with mixed media, such as journaling with stamps, journaling with collage and creating your own art journal book cover. Join Grace as we delve into the world of creative expression.
Includes a hardcover sketchbook, glue stick, pen and access to colourful sprays, stamps, washi tape and more!

Intro to Embroidery Workshop | Saturday @ 1:30PM
Learn the basics of embroidery with a fun intro design. You will create a 4” embroidery hoop, perfect to decorate your home or give as a homemade gift! The workshop includes all materials and instructions to take home for you to refer to for future embroidery projects. You will learn beginning stitches & have a beautiful embroidery hoop to take home that you made!

Reducing Food Costs at Home Presentation | Saturday @ 3:30PM
Jennifer Spencer of Yellow Brick Road Farm will guide you though tips and tricks to make your dollars stretch when it comes to food!
Included in this presentation are:
- the home economics of food costs
- making good, nourshing food on any budget
- tips and tricks to make your food and food dollars stretch
- how to make homemade broth in just 40 minutes!
You will leave with concrete ideas and action items you can put into place immediately to help reduce your food costs.

Permaculture for Beginners Workshop | Sunday @ 12:30PM
This jam packed session will get you inspired for the gardening season!
Begin by learning the basics of gardening - why, what, where and when. Explore topics such as plants, companion planting, soils and creating a small food forest in a 4 x 4 foot print. With skillful guidance in a fun and welcoming environment, you'll learn so much in this 2.5hr session.
